If you think you must have this wine with that food, “it ain’t necessarily so” as the song goes. Everyone has different tastes and everyone’s sensory tools (our palates and noses) are different (in my classes I regularly have people who taste the same wine and declare that it’s, for instance, too tart for some and not tart enough for others). So the “perfect for and wine matching meal” for an entire group is a myth. But the process—how we set up the event--can be a great learning experience as well as a major adult fun time.
